A surf life saver hut will, like all human constructs, bend to time and the elements. In one’s minds eye, one can see the distortion which the storms of wind and time will inflict on it.

In this image, I use distortion or abstraction to convey feelings and a particular mood, because I feel that often things can be expressed more successfully in forms that are personalised, rather than through the use of realism. Distortion is a change of a reality’s depiction. Through distortion, reality is changed into creativity.
